RINO SPRAY

Short description of the project:

JADRAN - GALENSKI LABORATORY (JGL) was founded in 1991 as the first completely private pharmaceutical joint stock company in Croatia.

In 2020, the company submitted an project proposal "RINO SPRAY” to the public call "Increasing the development of new products and services arising from research and development activities - phase II" issued by the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts.

In August 2020, JGL d.d. in partnership with the Center for Proteomics of the Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka (MEDRI), as a Beneficiary of the European Regional Development Fund, started the implementation of the Project. Together with the Center for Proteomics, Faculty of Medicine, JGL will, through research and development activities, develop a product that will improve people's health and quality of life, relieve the health care system and reduce losses caused by absences from work.

Objectives and expected results of the project:

The main aim of the Project is to develop an innovative product RINO SPRAY, through investment in research and development activities and in cooperation with a scientific research institution.

RINO SPRAY represents a step forward in the field of the pharmaceutical industry based on the active substance and the effect formulation, while its medicinal action, through an innovative form of application, will reduce the symptoms and progression of cold caused by rhinovirus.

The project will result in the development and production of a new generation of medical formula whose therapeutic effect, achieved through innovative system and the form of application, will reduce the symptoms and the course of cold caused by rhinoviruses, thus improving health and quality of life, relieve the health system and reduce losses caused by absences from work.

At the end of the project, RINO SPRAY will be in TRL phase 6, and will enable the JGL to increase sales profit and export as well as to achieve new employments.

 

Total funding (in HRK): 34,917,688.15

Total eligible costs (in HRK): 29,006,742.60

Amount co-financed by the EU (in HRK): 13,870,898.97
