Translational vaccinology in the veterinary industry/Translacijska vakcinologija u veterinarskoj industriji
On March 26, 2022, the University of Rijeka, Faculty of Medicine, hosted a workshop titled "Translational vaccinology in the veterinary industry/Translacijska vakcinologija u veterinarskoj industriji." The event featured presentations and discussion on the current status and challenges of the ongoing project activities, focusing on the production of antibodies targeting major poultry pathogens.
The workshop welcomed two distinguished speakers. Dr. Giovanna Roncador, from the Monoclonal Antibodies Unit at the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO) in Madrid, Spain, shared cutting-edge advancements in antibody production technologies. Prof. Stipan Jonjić, from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Rijeka, presented the challenges and successes in translating antibodies against nectins into clinical applications.
The event provided an excellent platform for fostering productive discussions, encouraging collaboration, and driving innovation in the field of veterinary vaccinology.
