Visit from Prof. Dr. Jörg Hacker to Center of excellence for Virus Immunology and Vaccines

On 21st of May, 2018 Center of Excellence was visited by prof. Dr. Jörg Hacker, President of Leopoldina (German Academy of Sciences). On invitation from Prof. Dr. Stipan Jonjić, Prof. Hacker held a lecture on the role of science in society on the example of global infectious diseases. He also participated in discussion with scientists at the Faculty of Medicine on the position of science in Croatia. Lecture was opened by Prof. Dr. Blaženka Divjak, Minister of Science and Education, Prof. Dr. Snježana Prijić-Samaržija, Rector of the University of Rijeka, Academician Daniel Rukavina and Prof. Dr. Tomislav Rukavina, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka.
