Modern Methods of Recombinant Paramyxovirus Cloning / Suvremene metode kloniranja rekombinantnih paramiksovirusa

On October 20, 2025, the University of Rijeka, Faculty of Medicine, hosted a workshop titled "Modern Methods of Recombinant Paramyxovirus Cloning / Suvremene metode kloniranja rekombinantnih paramiksovirusa."

The workshop gathered researchers, students, and professionals interested in advanced molecular techniques applied to the study and manipulation of paramyxoviruses. The focus was on innovative cloning strategies, reverse genetics systems, and their applications in understanding viral mechanisms and developing new vaccines.

The event featured two distinguished guests from the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut in Riems, Germany — Dr. Stefan Finke and Dr. Magdalena Murr — who presented their cutting-edge research on paramyxovirus molecular biology and shared practical insights into modern approaches for generating recombinant viral constructs.

This workshop provided an excellent platform for scientific exchange, fostering collaboration and advancing expertise in the rapidly evolving field of molecular virology.
