Valentina Hribljan, PhD
Postdoctoral researcher
valentina.hribljan@medri.uniri.hr
Valentina obtained her graduate degree in Molecular Biology in 2018 from the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. She continued her academic training at the School of Medicine, University of Zagreb, where she earned a PhD in Basic Medical Sciences, Neuroscience branch. Her doctoral research focused on exploring the regenerative potential of neural stem cells in an in vitro model of ischemic brain stroke. She received the Dean’s Award for exceptional scientific productivity and writing of the doctoral thesis. After completing her PhD, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher on the ERC-funded project Archi-Skin. Since February 2025, she has been a member of the CAPRI team, focusing on research of cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection in the brain.
