
Karmela Miklić
Senior laboratory engineer
Karmela has been employed at the University of Rijeka Faculty of Medicine since 2004. She obtained her BSc degree in Medical-laboratory Diagnostics from the University of Rijeka in 2001 and completed her internship at the Clinical Hospital Centre Rijeka in 2003.
She is specialized in numerous laboratory techniques, including immunisation with different type of antigens, cell fusion and parental screening, cloning and subcloning of hybridoma with ELISA screening, monoclonal antibody selection and cryogenic vial preservation, hybridoma isotyping, large scale monoclonal antibody production, concentration and buffer exchange after purification, determination of protein concentration, cultivation of different cell lines and transfectants, preparation of cell lysates (for screening/immunization).
