Dubravka Karner obtained her master’s degree in Biotechnology in Medicine from the Faculty of Biotechnology and Drug Development, University of Rijeka, in 2017. In 2019, she joined the Center for Proteomics as a PhD student, working on a project that explored cellular prion protein in immunology and viral infection. During her doctoral studies, she gained expertise in handling laboratory mice, analyzing immune cells extracted from organs, and working with cell cultures and cell lines. After obtaining her PhD, in 2024, Dubravka continued to work at the Center for Proteomics.
