Ivana Strazic Geljic, MD
Ivana Strazic Geljic is a postdoctoral researcher on a project deciphering cytomegalovirus immunoevasion mechanisms. She holds a MSc in Physiobiology and Immunology from the University of Zagreb from 2011, and the same year she finished a joined European MSc in Bioindustrial techniques at the University of Zagreb and the University of Orleans, France. In 2015, she obtained a PhD in the field of drug-loaded bone substitutes from the University of Nice, France, during which she was a CIFRE academic-industrial fellow at Graftys SA, an SME specialized in bone substitutes. She has experience in cell culture, molecular biology and animal models. She often engages in science popularisation activities for which she received several national or international recognitions and awards. Outside the lab, she enjoys jogging, biking and charity work with homeless.
